Using the site

Use the following guide to learn more about placing an order, site security and more.

Begin shopping

Begin by choosing a category within the Online Store. When you view a category you will see images of the available products. Click on the image to view a larger image and a more detailed description of the item. You can continue to shop throughout the store before proceeding to checkout. Feel free to browse and shop until you are ready to make your final purchase.

Select an item

  • Select an item by clicking on it. If the item does not display, press your browser's "Reload" button. You can view a detailed description and a larger image of the selected item by clicking on it. Each product page provides pricing.
  • You can put the item in your shopping cart by clicking "Add to cart."
  • In the cart you can change the quantity if you would like to purchase more than one item.
  • You may continue to shop, or click "Checkout" to enter your billing information and begin processing the order.

Manage the cart

  • Click on "View cart" at any time to view your selected items.
  • To change the quantity of an item, update the number you wish to purchase and click "Update."
  • To remove an item from the cart, click "Remove." This will not change other items in the shopping cart.

Process the order

  • Please complete the requested information in the ordering screens so that we may process, ship and bill your order. Required information is marked with a red asterisk.
  • Verify the information on the order form for accuracy. If necessary, return to the shopping cart and make corrections. You will be notified if you have not completed the required fields correctly. Sales tax and shipping are calculated based on the information you provided on the Shipping and Billing Information page.
  • Click on "Process order" to send your order electronically. Your order is entered in real-time.
  • Confirm your order on the Invoice page. A confirmation number is prominently displayed for your personal records. You may print this page for reference. The confirmation number provided is the number that you will need to check order status.

Secure ordering

Credit card safety
Protecting the safety of your credit card information is important to us. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect the security of your credit card information as it is transmitted to us.

SSL is a set of rules followed by computers connected to the Internet. These rules include encryption, which guards against eavesdropping; data integrity, which assures that your communications aren't tampered with during transmission; and authentication, which verifies that the party actually receiving your communication is who it claims to be.

What about my bank or credit card company?
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank or credit card company cannot hold you liable for more than $50 of unauthorized or fraudulent charges on a credit card. Your liability for unauthorized use of a debit card may be higher, but most debit card issuers voluntarily apply the $50 limit to their cards, as well. Remember: If unauthorized use of your credit or debit card does occur, you must notify your card provider, in accordance with the agreement you have with the company.

How do I know my credit card information is secure?
Make sure you are accessing a secure server before you submit personal financial information. To do this look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser), then SSL is active. To double-check for security, look at the URL or Location line of your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from "http" to "https."

Some browser versions and some firewalls don't permit communication through secure servers like the ones we use to process orders at telephones.att.com.
