Product Troubleshooting

Problem:

Why is the answering system not picking up the call after the designated number of rings?

Solution:

Tip 1 of 4

You may have set the number of rings to answer to one of two Toll Saver options. 2/4 instructs the answering system to answer after two rings if there are new, unplayed messages. If there aren’t any new messages, the system will answer after four rings. The 4/6 option instructs the answering system to answer after four rings if there are new, unplayed messages. If there aren’t any new messages, the system will answer after six rings. Both options are designed to save you long distance charges if you are checking for messages remotely.

To reset the number of rings to answer, press SET UP twice, then use MEMO/REPEAT and ANNOUNCE/SKIP. Your options are from two to seven rings, plus the two Toll Saver options. Consult your User’s Manual for details.
