Product Troubleshooting

Problem:

Why can’t I program numbers in the telephone’s directory?

Solution:

Tip 1 of 1

The telephone is capable of storing a total of 100 entries in the directory. Each entry can contain up to 16 characters for the name and 32 digits for the telephone number. When programming the entries, the telephone must be on-hook (idle). You can program directory entries from the handset or base.

If the memory is full, the screen will display Directory is full. You will not be able to store a new entry until a stored entry is deleted.

To program an entry in the directory, complete the following steps:
Step 1: Press MENU, then press or until DIRECTORY is selected.

Step 2: Press ENTER, then press or until Add contact is selected.

Step 3: Press ENTER. Using the dialpad, enter the telephone number. For more information on creating directory entries, please review the Directory section of the User’s manual.

Step 4: When you finish entering the phone number, press ENTER. The screen will display ENTER NAME.

Step 5: Enter the name. Press # to add a space between words.

Step 6: Press ENTER. You will hear a confirmation tone.
