Problem:

Why can’t I program numbers in the telephone’s directory?

Solution:

Tip 1 of 1

This telephone is capable of storing a total of 25 entries in a directory. Each entry can contain up to 15 characters for the name and 24 digits for the telephone number. When programming the entries, the telephone must be idle (on hook).

Step 1: Press DIRECTORY, followed by OPTIONS. The screen will display ENTER NUMBER. Enter the desired phone number.

Step 2: Press OPTIONS. The screen will display ENTER NAME.

Step 3: Using the keypad, enter the name of the contact. Use the key to backspace and make corrections; use the key to advance and add a space. For more information, please review the DIRECTORY OPERATION section of the User’s Manual.

Step 4: When you finish entering the name, press OPTIONS. The screen will display STORED.

You can also store an additional 14 phone numbers in One Touch locations, represented by 7 upper and lower speed dial keys. To store a phone number in a One Touch location: Step 1: Press PROGRAM.

Step 2: Enter the desired phone number.

Step 3: Press the One Touch button where you wish to store the number.

Step 4: Write the corresponding names or numbers on the directory card located below the One Touch buttons.
